Plug in a pair of external microphones to get recordings from further away. Two tracks can be recorded or played back simultaneously, and auto level automatically controls your input audio level. The recorder has a speaker for instant play back so you can hear your recordings as soon as you finish. For a more personal listen, use the built-in headphone socket. How can I transfer files to my computer?
Connect straight to the USB port on your computer from the mini USB on the recorder. This lets you transfer files, power the recorder or even use it as a USB microphone. Use the recorder to make up to 99 marks in a track to let you know exactly where you want to edit. The H1 recorder comes with Steinberg’s Cubase LE music production software and WaveLab LE audio editing software to let you edit and create spectacular audio for any occasion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely little recorder - gets the voices out of nowhere - excellent. Unfortunately the software will not open MP3 files of 250MB+ - message that the audio file is too large. This is a pity as files way bigger files will come off the 32GB MicroSD it is capable of taking. I have had to load other software for big files.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good value for money, easy to set up and start using right away. I would recommend it for anyone who needs a cheap but high quality recording device. It comes with 2GB card so you have a decent amount of recording time if you don't a larger alternative. All in all a great little device!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT recorder All the controls easy to understand and use unlike the previous one which this replaces and it has a volume control also which the old one did not have and had to be held to the ear or shouted at just to hear the recorded messages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful and good quality This recorder is really useful for creating an MP3 or WAV file from any sound source. The files can very easily be transferred to a computer and then used in any playing media. Quality is excellent.

Will this pick up clear audio from 2m away if in my pocket, or does it have to be clear of any covering?

Asked by: Suze56
The audio would most likely be muffled if the unit is in your pocket, this device is designed to be used unobstructed.
