With the help of the Maplin ORB RF Remote Controlled Mains Plug Sockets Set Version S2 you can turn any appliance with a plug socket into a remotely controlled device. Controlling the sockets up to 30 metres, the remote uses radio frequencies so that it does not need to be pointed at the sockets and can work through walls! Each RF remote control has 12 channels, allowing you to control 1 or more individually or all at the same time.

Very good product and great value for money. Bought these to control more items and to replace a couple of remote sockets which no longer work - these were around 15 years old so have given excellent service for a very small outlay, so no complaints there. Range is also excellent: I can control Christmas lights from in the house over about 50 feet and a workshop dust extractor through 3 walls - faultless every time.
