Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's just a capacitor... It's an RFI capacitor, it does it's job in silence! One problem with it however...the legs are too short which makes soldiering it in place a pain (the old caps are usually bigger) you have to resort to extending the legs with short wires or the cut off legs of the old one and solder to those! Like I said a pain!

I purchased 2 for noise suppression replacing the originals. The old components were red positive at one end and black negative at the other however the new units do not have the polarity marked on them one end has 2 dots .. but no info as to polarity.

Asked by: fat boy
The side with the two dots is the negative polarity.
