With the roll out of the 4G mobile phone system (also known as LTE) from May 2013, in some areas Freeview TV channels may be lost due to interference from this new signal. This simple to install filter prevents the 4G signal from interfering with your TV. Simply plug into the aerial feed before it plugs into your TV or set top box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing really works About a week ago we started having problems with reception (signal drop off and reduced number of channels) on a newish Samsung LCD TV with an in-built digital tuner and loft aerial setup. I'm not a "teckie" but had read recently somewhere that development of the 4G data systems can cause digital TV reception interference and that a low cost filter can be purchased to resolve the problem. This product from Maplin did the trick completely with the minimum of effort and technical knowhow. SL Stevenage

Will this filter work with an ariel booster and will I need one for each TV

Asked by: Stevesq
Ideally you would have one for each TV, but it can work with a signal booster too if the coax cables are not too long. Try a single one first in the booster and if it doesn't filter out all the interference then maybe try individual ones for each TV.

I need a 4g filter to add to my splitter in the attic but the aerial cable has a screw  thread connector to connect to the splitter box but this one seems to have a push fit so will not fit the splitter box, is there a connector I can use so it fits?

Asked by: Rhod
We have a range of connectors that will convert standard coax to f-plug (screw on) and back again with both male and female connectivity. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/metal-coax-plug-to-f-plug-adapter-qq71n http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/metal-f-plug-to-coax-socket-adapter-qp41u http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/metal-coax-plug-to-f-socket-adapter-qp42v
