What would I use this light for?
Attach this super bright LED light to your wall and start using it as a nightlight or security measure. It uses PIR (passive infrared) to pick up movement, and the light will switch itself on and illuminate the area until the movement has stopped. This light does not need mains power, as it used three AAA batteries, and the light only activates when it is dark to save battery life. This super bright LED PIR sensor light is ideal for use in attics, landings, stairs and cupboards.

They come on with movement and stay on for a comfortable amount of time to reach the other end of the hall. Ideal. None of them have failed yet after a lot of use.

However if you use the self adhesive pad to mount the light you will probably have great difficulty when it comes to replacing the batteries as the light will need to be be taken down. I superglued the light to the acrylic tab (supplied) so that it will be easier to take the back off (although I will need to pierce the tab with a screwdriver)

The base sticks to the wall, the light then twists on and off the base, to enable battery changes.

Is it possible to adjust the unit to alter its sensitivity to the ambient light level? I want it to operate only with light levels below its current level.

This item does have a light sensor as well as motion, so it will only activate in areas and times of low light.
